Chapter 4. Installing the Adapter
The following steps describe installing the EtherJet ISA Adapter in
your computer.

Make backup copies of the diskettes that come with the
kit using the DOS command DISKCOPY. Store the
original diskettes in a safe place.

Switch OFF the computer and disconnect the power
cable from the outlet.

Disconnect all cables from the computer. Make sure
cables are labelled for ease of reconnection.

Remove the cover over the expansion slots.

Insert the adapter in a 16-bit expansion slot. Make sure
that the adapter is fully seated.

Replace the cover.

Connect the adapter cable to the adapter and to the
network. See the figures that follow.
