Plug the computer into a power source.

Switch ON the computer.
The physical installation is complete.
Computers that are enabled for Plug and Play do not require you to
configure the new adapter. If your computer is enabled for Plug and
Play, go to Chapter 6, “Installing the Device Drivers for Your
Network Environment” on page 6-1.
For computers that are not enabled for Plug and Play you must
configure the adapter. To configure the adapter, continue to
Chapter 5, “Configuring the Adapter with LANAID.”
If you do not know if your computer is Plug and Play enabled, see
“Determining Plug and Play Status” on page 5-7.
