Maintenance

The Time Server 8029HEPTA/GPS is generally maintenance-free. The following points should
be observed if a cleaning of the system might be necessary.

11.1 General Guidelines for Cleaning

The following

must not

be used to clean the Time Server 8029HEPTA/GPS:

Fluids

•

Cleaning agents containing solvents

•

Cleaning agents containing acids

•

Abrasive media

The use of such cleaning agents or media could damage the Time Server 8029HEPTA/GPS.

Do not use a wet cloth to clean the Time Server 8029HEPTA/GPS.

There is the danger of an electric shock

To clean the Time Server 8029HEPTA/GPS use a cloth that is:

Non-fabric

Damp

11.2 Cleaning the Housing

Make sure that connections or cables are not loosened while cleaning the
housing of the Time Server 8029HEPTA/GPS. There is the danger of
damage and functionality loss.

11.3 Cleaning the Display and Front Panel

Minimum pressure should be exerted when cleaning the display and push button. Excessive
pressure may cause mechanical damage.
