Create the Fast Snap pair in one of the following ways.
• Create the pair using RWC.

• Create the pair using RAID Manager and assign the pair to a snapshot group.

If you have assigned the pairs to a consistency group, split the Fast Snap pair using the consistency
group to store snapshot data.
6.
Delete the snapshot data in one of the following ways.
• Delete the Fast Snap pairs (see
on page 129).
• Delete only the snapshot data (see
Resynchronizing Fast Snap pairs
on page 127).
Workflow for creating Fast Snap pairs using Remote Web
Console
In RWC, the pairs are configured based on the amount of snapshot data corresponding to the P-VOL, or
the number of S-VOLs that are assigned to snapshot data. Fast Snap uses MU numbers 0 to 1,023, and
they are assigned in the order of 3 to 1,023, followed by 0 to 2.
