Complete the following:
- Enter the amount of the LDEV capacity you want to create. Then enter a number within the range
of the figures displayed under the text box. You can enter values up to two decimal places.
- Click the unit capacity menu to choose the capacity unit, TB, GB, MB, or block.
• Number of LDEVs
Enter the number of LDEVs you want to create.

• LDEV Name
Enter a name for the V-VOL.
- For Prefix , enter the case-sensitive alphanumeric characters, which become the fixed characters
that precede the V-VOL number.
- For Initial Number , enter the initial number for V-VOL, up to 9 digits.
- You can enter up to 32 characters in total for Prefix and Initial Number .
4. In the Create LDEVs window of the Create LDEVs wizard, complete the following additional items,
and then click Add :
• Initial LDEV ID
Confirm that an LDEV identification number has been set. To confirm the used number and
unavailable number, complete the following steps:
a. Click View LDEV IDs .
