
On the server (including RAID Manager), the emulation type of the V-VOL is shown with a zero (0), such
as OPEN-0V. If you create a Fast Snap pair, specify a volume whose emulation type is shown with a zero
(0) for the S-VOL, such as OPEN-0V.
Overview of using RAID Manager to run commands
through in-band connections
If you use RAID Manager to run commands through an out-of-band connection, you do not need to
reserve a volume.
CAUTION:
For maximum host I/O performance, use RAID Manager to run commands through an
in-band connection.

• In RAID Manager, use the
raidcom modify local_replica_opt
command.
You can set the system options that affect Fast Snap performance using Remote Web Console, as
