Flags
Indicates the main purpose of the attribute. An
attribute can be critical (able to predict failure)
or statistical one ( does not directly affect condi-
tion)
•
P - pre-failure
•
O - online
•
S - performance
•
R - error
•
C - event count
•
K - self-preserving
•
+ - any other flag
Value
Value that correspond to the Raw value. Com-
pare this with the Threshold. S.M.A.R.T. com-
presses the raw value(s) into a digit from 1 to
253, where 1 indicates the worst scenario while
253 indicates the best scenario. The value 100 or
200 usually represent the normal value.
Worst
This is the lowest value attained by the hard
drive since S.M.A.R.T. started its assessment of
the physical drive.
Treshold
This is the attribute’s threshold value. if the at-
tribute’s current normalized value is less than or
equal to the threshold, the attribute has failed.
An attribute value close to or below the thresh-
old indicates the hard drive is no longer reliable
When failed
The field indicates when ( if ever) the attribute
failed. An attribute has failed if the normalized
value is less than or equal to the threshold
Raw value
This is the attribute’s unprocessed raw data.
These values show exact amount of time or
numbers of attempts or errors. The meaning to
the raw values is specific to the physical drive
manufacture.
Self-test logs
This tab will show the results of any self-test that have been run
