You can store the mail addresses you want to exchange
chat mail per group. By storing multiple members in a
group, you can set them as chat members at a time.
You can store up to five mail addresses per group. You
can create up to five groups.

Chat group
Select the chat group to be stored
p When the selected chat group has any
entry, “
” appears at the lower left
of the display.
If you press
( ), Chat group
members are stored in Chat Member
and Chat Mail starts.
Go to step 2 on page 259.

If you select a stored mail address,
“Mail Address Confirmation display”
appears.

Enter a mail address
Repeat step 2 and step 3 to store multiple mail addresses.
p When you store an i-mode mail address for a chat member, store
it correctly including its domain (the part after @ mark).
For the address “phone number@docomo.ne.jp”, however, store
the phone number only.
p
You can enter up to 50 half-pitch characters.
User setting You can set the name and image of the user
(yourself).
Name Enter a user name
p You can enter up to four full-pitch or eight
half-pitch characters.
p
Not to change the user name, go to the next
step.

p The sound does not sound when a chat mail message comes in from a
member not stored in Chat Member.
<User setting>
p If you enter nothing for the user name, the user name takes “Own”.
p You cannot change the background color.

p You can set up to eight half-pitch characters from the beginning of the
stored mail address as a member name. When the mail address is
stored in the Phonebook, up to four full-pitch or eight half-pitch
characters from the beginning of the name stored in the Phonebook are
displayed. When the image is stored in the Phonebook, the image is
also set together with the name.
p When a member having the same mail address is stored in another
group, the confirmation display appears asking whether to change the
group. Select “YES”; then the member is changed into the new group
from the stored group.

Activate chat The members in the chat group are stored as
chat members and Chat Mail starts.

Edit group name
Enter a chat group name
p You can enter up to 10 full-pitch or 20 half-pitch
characters.
Reset group name You can reset the name of the chat group to the
default.
