5.3.2 Fitting/removing the large surface mounted silencer or the exhaust
plate
Proceed as follows:
1. Loosen the 6 fastening screws of the large surface−
mounted silencer or exhaust plate and remove it from the
basis component.
2. Check the seal between the basis component and the
surface−mounted silencer or exhaust plate for damage.
Replace the seal if it is damaged.
3. Make sure that the seal is seated correctly. The seating is
determined by guides in the large surface−mounted si
lencer or exhaust plate.
4. Fasten the large surface−mounted silencer or exhaust
plate only with the original screws. Tighten these screws
in diagonally opposite sequence with max. 0.65 Nm (ex
haust plate) or 1.0 Nm (large surface−mounted silencer).
5.3.3 Replacing valve plates or blanking plates
Please note
The sub−bases of the MPA valve terminal with MP con
nection (fixed electric linking) support the control of one
or two solenoid coils depending on the equipment fitted
(total number of valve locations) (see chapter 3,
Table3/6).
The sub−bases of the MPA valve terminal with MPM con
nection (modular linking) support the control of one or
two solenoid coils per valve location depending on the
MPA electronic module fitted (see Table5/5).
