3.4 Address assignment of the valves
3.4.1 MPA valve terminal with CPX terminal type MPA...−FB−...
Maximum 8 MPA pneumatic modules are permitted on the
MPA valve terminal with CPX terminal. The following number
of valve coils is therefore possible (if only valves of the same
size are used):
MPA1: up to 64 valve solenoid coils (maximum 32 valve
locations)
MPA2: up to 32 valve solenoid coils (maximum 16 valve
locations)
Please note
Note with the addressing that an MPA2 pneumatic module
has only 4 addresses compared to an MPA1 pneumatic
module. Further addressing rules can be found in the
"MPA pneumatics manual" (P.BE−MPA−...)
Assigning the addresses
The assignment of the addresses is module−orientated
A pneumatic module always occupies 8 addresses.
Counting begins on the valve terminal from left to right
Each valve location occupies 2 addresses, irrespective of
the valve plate or blanking plate fitted.
The following assignment applies:
Solenoid coil 14 occupies the lower−value address,
solenoid coil 12 occupies the higher−value address.
