Installing a Versatile Interface Module in a Summit X480, X650, or X670 Series Switch

Summit Family Switches Hardware Installation Guide

Install the VIM in the switch (

Figure 283

Make sure the inserter/ejector levers are rotated down.

Carefully slide the module into the switch until the inserter/ejector levers begin to rotate upward.

Simultaneously rotate both levers upward to seat the module internal connectors.

Insert and tighten the retaining screws you removed earlier.
