Parts and Equipment
This chapter lists the recommended parts and calibration equipment needed to service
and repair the ICP-MS in the field. In cases where a required piece of equipment is not
available from the factory, this chapter provides full specifications so you can source
the item locally.
NOTE
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) module replacement parts are available as
assemblies, rather than individual components.
NOTICE
Many of the spare parts provided for the mass spectrometer and vacuum systems
have been specially cleaned in readiness for use in a vacuum system, therefore they
do not require cleaning prior to installation. Their packaging identifies these items;
they are wrapped in aluminum foil. The labeling indicates that the items inside have
been cleaned for vacuum use. When handling these spare parts, wear lint free nylon
gloves at all times. Store the parts separately, away from service tool kits and
general spares to prevent damage and contamination.
