The default settings for monitoring functions, as well
as fresh gas and ventilation parameters can be
configured in standby mode. Default settings for the
monitoring functions (pulse tone, scale, parameters,
record, interface, and traces) are in effect after the
system is switched on.
The default values for alarm limits, fresh gas
parameters and ventilation parameters are in effect
after each standby.
The basic configurations (language, time, date, and
tone sequence) remain until their next modification.
After switching the system on, the selection of
anesthetic agent is always set to "auto".

Switch Julian to standby mode.

Press »config.« menu key.
Display (example):
The following settings can be made in the menu:

– Calibration
– Anesth. agent
Fields highlighted by a gray background indicate
settings currently in effect.
The

symbol indicates a return to the previous
menu level.

Select, set and confirm new settings with dial knob.
Setting Default Values
Default values are in effect after the system is
switched on. Default monitoring settings can be
activated during operation with
»activate monitor defaults«,
see "Activating monitor defaults" on page 80.

Display (example):
The menu requests the user to enter a 4-digit
password in order to prevent unauthorized tampering
with the basic settings. This password is given to au-
thorized personnel during system training. This feature
can be disabled or the password be changed by
DrägerService on request.
