Anesthesia supported:
– Inhalation anesthesia in semi-closed to virtually closed
systems with "low flow" and "minimal flow"
techniques (for minimal gas and anesthetic agent
consumption) with a fresh gas flow of 0.5 to 12 L/min.
Ventilation Modes and Monitoring
Ventilation options:
– Automatic continuous mandatory ventilation (CMV)
and pressure-controlled ventilation (PCV)
– Manual ventilation (MAN)
– Spontaneous ventilation (SPONT)
The following measured values can be displayed:
– Peak pressure, mean pressure, plateau pressure and
PEEP
– Expiratory minute volume
Tidal volume V

available option:
– Functional oxygen saturation (plethysmogram)
Graphical and numerical trends are also available.
Monitoring
is provided by adjustable alarm limits that can be
adapted to the ventilation mode.
Intended Medical Application
The Julian is indicated as a continuous flow anesthesia
system. The Julian may be used for manually assisted, or
automatic ventilation, and delivery of gases, anesthetic
vapor, and monitoring of oxygen concentration, breathing
pressure, and respiratory volume.
Federal law restrics this device to sale by or on the order
of a physician.
