Using the Volumeter Function
To observe and assess ventilation in manual and
pressure controlled ventilation modes and during
spontaneous breathing.

Upper bar:
Current tidal volume (V

), preceded by its numerical
value.
The bar graph shows generation of V
T

Lower bar:
Volumeter (minute volume measurement) with a mark
between each breath, preceded by its numerical
value.
The scale of the bar display depends on the default
setting, see "Configuring During Operation, Selecting
the scale" on page 78 and "Configuring in Standby
Mode, selecting the scale" on page 93.
Starting the volumeter
●
Press dial knob.
Values are deleted and volumeter is restarted if the
dial knob is pressed again before 60 seconds have
elapsed.
Time elapsed in seconds is displayed above the bar
with the integrated volume on the left. Individual
breaths are separated by segments in the bar. The
volumeter stops automatically with an acoustic signal
after 60 seconds.
Measured values are displayed for 4 minutes and then
disappear.
