End of Operation
To switch Julian to standby mode:
●
Press
E
key and confirm by pressing the dial knob.
The Julian Workstation is now in standby mode.
Fresh gas flow is switched off.
The following default values are activated in standby
mode:
Fresh gas default values
Ventilation parameters
Alarm limits
To switch Julian off:
●
Press power switch » « down completely.
The system is switched off after 10 seconds.

Remove gas supply probes from the wall terminals.
●
Leave Julian connected to line power in order to keep
charging the uninterruptible power supply (UPS).
●
In case of mains power supply failure, the power
switch should always be switched off. Starting up
the workstation with the power switch on and the
UPS discharged leads to emergency dosage.
●
Close backup cylinders.
To switch off the anesthetic gas scavenging system:
●
Disconnect gas-disposal-assembly tubing from wall
inlet.
NOTE: Julian features a time delayed switch-off. The
message
System can be switched on again without loss of
data
System is being closed down and switched off
appears for 10 seconds after pressing the main
power switch and an audible signal sounds.
During this time, Julian remains in the current opera-
ting mode. The switch-off procedure can be canceled
immediately by pressing the main power switch again
during this time.
The switch-off time delay is not active during the
self-test.
WARNING !
Manual ventilation is not possible when Julian
is in standby mode!
