Installation of the kit Overflow protection
•
Switch off the dispenser by means of the main
switch, disconnect the power supply plug, and close
the water cock.
CAUTION:
In order to prevent damage to the PC
boards and their components due to
electrostatic charge, first touch a metal
table or a metal cupboard before
touching the PC boards.
•
Disassemble the dispenser's control (see chap. 5K.2).
•
Fasten the distance piece (1) and nut (2) from the
'Overflow Protection' kit onto the control unit. (Fig. 2)
•
Plug the insulating foil (8) and the circuit board
including the timer (3) into the distance piece (1).
(Fig. 3)
•
Loosen the cable harness inlet valve/float switch
from the electrical connection ST03 (4) and
connect to the electrical connection on the time
switch (5). (Fig. 3)
•
Connect the cable harness (6) to the electrical
connection ST03 (4). (Fig. 3)
•
The position of the jumper (7) determines when the
water inlet in the boiler stops. (Fig. 3)
See also the positioning diagram on the previous
page.
For Cafitesse 100 dispensers with an already
built-in I
2
C-bus circuit board (Cafitesse 120 or
with café cool option), the circuit board is
installed the same way.
When the boiler is being filled for the first
time, it is possible that the time switch will trip
and that the inlet valve will close if the time
switch has been set to 40 sec. or less. In this
case, the main switch must be operated in
order to be able to continue filling the boiler.
Whenever filling the boiler takes a very long
time due to low water pressure, it is possible
that the timer will trip and that the inlet valve
will close before the filling operation has been
completed.
The shorter that the period of time that the
time switch has been set to is, the less
amount of water that can then flow over
whenever the float becomes caught inside the
boiler or the float switch is defective.
