Logging Out Ports
Introduction
You can log out a port and reset the port characteristics to their factory defaults or you
can log out a port and send a reset signal to the port.
Logging Out a Port and Resetting Port Characteristics to Factory Defaults
To log out a port and reset the port’s characteristics to the factory defaults, use the
following command:
LOGOUT PORT port-list FACTORY
Example
This example shows how to log out ports 2 through 8 and reset the port characteristics
to their factory defaults.
Local> LOGOUT PORT 2-8 FACTORY
Logging Out a Port and Sending a Reset Signal
To log out a modem port, use the following command:
LOGOUT PORT port-list MODEM [RESET]
NOTE
This command performs the functional equivalent of a power-cycle.
Example
This example shows how to disconnect sessions on ports 2 through 8 and send a reset
signal to these ports.
