Your DECserver 900MC includes the following features.
Hot Swap
The module’s hot swap capability allows you to install or remove the module from a
DEChub 900 without turning off power to the hub.
Configuration and Management
The module offers the following configuration and management options:

Set-up port for initial configuration of the module using a terminal or personal
computer.
•
Advanced Graphical User Interface (GUI) manageability with Digital's Access
Server Manager application.
•
Advanced Graphical User Interface (GUI) manageability with Digital's
clearVISN MultiChassis Manager application.
Protocols and Standards
The module supports the following protocols and standards:
•
Compatibility with the proposed ITU-T V.34 protocol (14400 to 33600 bps)
modem port speeds. (V.34 is implemented using Rockwell International
Corporation’s V.FC chip.)
•
Serial port speeds of up to 115200 bps
•
2-wire switched line operation
•
ITU-T protocol standards: V.21, V.22, V.22bis, V.23, V.32, and V.32bis
•
Bell 212A and Bell 103 protocol standards
•
V.42 error correction, including LAPM and MNP Classes 2 to 4 (see Appendix D,
Microcom Networking Protocol)
•
V.42bis compression as well as MNP Class 5 Data Compression (see Appendix
D, Microcom Networking Protocol)
