How to Install the Module
Task 4: Connect Port Cables
Connect the port cables to any available port connector on the module. Ports 1 through
8 contain built-in modems. The console port is a serial port, also known as Port 9 by
the software. For more information on the proper cables to use, see Appendix B,
Connector and Cable Assignments.
To connect the port cables to the module, complete the following steps:

NOTE
The DECserver 900MC does not support the out-of-band management (OBM)
port or the setup port on the DEChub One. However, console redirect is supported.

Action

Align the release tab on the cable plug (1) with the keyway on the
module’s connector.

Insert the plug into the connector, ensuring that the release tab snaps into
the locked position.
