AT Commands
)H
n Automatic Dial Connection Restoral Timer
Where n is an integer from 0 to 255 minutes (Default is 0 (disabled)).
When a connection fails, specifies how long the local modem tries to re-establish the
physical data link with the remote modem. It also specifies how long the remote
modem waits for the local modem to re-establish the link. If the modems do not
establish a new connection in the time specified by )H, they disconnect.
This command is only valid during MNP reliable connections. It must be set on both
modems. If flow control is enabled, the modems stop receiving data from the host until
the time specified by )H expires or until a connection is reestablished.
NOTE
Your modem will try 9 redials (see the -D command), so do not set )H greater than
2.
*H
n Link Negotiation Speed
*H0
Link negotiation occurs at the highest supported speed.
*H1
Link negotiation occurs at 1200 bps.
*H2
Link negotiation occurs at 4800 bps.
Sets the connection speed for link negotiation for connections before upshift occurs
between two MNP Class 10 modems. Use the *H1 or *H2 setting to set the connection
speed to 1200 or 4800 bps, respectively, to facilitate link negotiation over poor
telephone lines.
-H
n Dumb Mode
-H0
Disables dumb mode (sets smart mode).
-H1
Enables dumb mode.
Used to configure the modem to ignore commands and not send result codes. The
modem is in smart mode when it recognizes commands.
NOTE
If you set dumb mode, you can reset the modem to accept AT commands by
turning it off and on.
