No connectivity between the

Run Control Panel service
applet on both nodes and
verify the RPC service is
running.

Use a network analyzer
(such as Network Monitor),
or RPCPing (available on the
Microsoft Exchange Server
CD) to ensure RPC
connectivity exists on both
nodes.
Node failover is not recognized by
Redundancy Manager or Secure
Path.
Cluster may be improperly cabled.
