S IG H T GLASS REPLACEMENT
I f dam age to the sight glass should occur, a new sight glass
k it should be installed. T he k it contains th e sight glass, seal
and retainer. (See Figure 32).
1. Purge system .
2. R em ove th e sight glass retain er n u t using a screwdriver
and rem ove old glass and “ O ” ring seal.
3. Install the new glass and seal and retainer n u t, being
careful n o t to tu rn th e n u t past the face o f th e housing.
To do so m ay damage th e “ 0 ” ring seal.
4. E vacuate, charge and check th e system .
FRO NT A IR D ISTR IB U TO R DUCT ASSEMBLY
Replacement (Fig. 33)
1. R em ove fo u r screws th a t h o ld the d u ct to th e engine
cover.
2. Lift upw ards and rearw ard on the to p o f th e d istrib u to r
d u ct assem bly and move it aw ay from th e evaporator and
blow er m o to r assembly cover, being careful n o t to
dam age th e seal.
3. T o reinstall, reverse Steps 1 and 2, m aking sure seal to
e v a p o r a t o r and blow er m o to r cover is properly
positioned.
FRO NT BLOW ER-EVAPORATOR COVER
Replacement (Fig. 33)
1. R em ove fo u r screws holding th e cover to th e evaporator
assembly.
2. Rem ove the te m p eratu re co n tro l k n o b and place the
blow er sw itch(es) on M .
3. Rem ove the cover being careful n o t to dam age th e seal to
the air d istrib u to r d u c t.
4. To reinstall, reverse Steps 1-3, being sure seal to air
d istrib u to r d u ct is properly positioned.
