th e same procedure used in m ounting tu b e ty p e tires,
how ever, extrem e care m ust be exercised to prevent
injury to th e sealing bead w hen forcing tire over th e rim .
A slight ap plication o f ru b b er lu bricant on th e last 1/2 o f
each bead circle to be m o u n te d will ease m ounting.
2. With tire beads still u n seated , ro tate tire on w heel so th a t
balance m ark o n tire lines up w ith the valve stem .
3. S tart tire beads into th e rim bead seats as follow s:
If a tire m ounting m achine is being used, lift th e tire high in
the rim forcing the to p tire bead against th e to p rim flange
seating th e to p bead. T he low er bead will be seated b y th e tire
weight.
When a tire m ounting m achine is not being used, beads m ay
be seated by holding th e tire an d w heel assem bly in a vertical
position and bouncing o n th e floor at various p o in ts ab o u t th e
tire circum ference.
4. Install valve core and inflate tire w ith quick “ sh o ts” o f
air to firm ly seat th e sealing beads.

5. C heck assem bly for air leaks, th e n reduce tire pressure to
th a t recom m ended for vehicle o peration.
