CLUTCH PEDAL REPLACEMENT
(Refer to Fig. 1)
Removal
1. Pull parking brake lever to applied position.
2. Rem ove b o lt at clutch pedal push rod lever, then remove
lever from pedal shaft.
3. H old pedal pad w ith one hand and slide pedal and shaft
assem bly o u tb o a rd enough to clear pedal sto p , then allow
retu rn spring (or overcenter spring) to pull pedal up high
enough to un h o o k spring from pedal arm.
4. Rem ove pedal and shaft assem bly from su p p o rt b rac k et.
Inspection
1. C heck clutch pedal bushings for excessive w ear and
replace if necessary.
2. C heck clu tch pedal shaft for wear and alignm ent and
straighten or replace if necessary.
Installation
N O T E : Use new shaft bushing if needed and lubri­
cate w ith Lubriplate or petrolatum .
