2. Install com pression coupling n u t on tubing and dip end
o f tubing to be flared in hydraulic brake fluid. This
lu b rication results in b e tte r form ation o f the flare.
3. Place one-half o f the die blocks in the tool body w ith the
co u n terb o re d ends tow ard the ram guide. N ow lay the

tubing in the blo ck w ith approxim ately 1/4” protruding
beyond the end.
F it the o th e r h a lf o f th e block in to th e tool body, close
th e latch plate and tighten the nuts “ finger tig h t” .
4. Select th e correct size upset flare punch. One end o f this
