7 - MAINTENANCE
Increase the track tension
Use the track adjuster grease fitting to adjust track ten-
sion. Adding grease will increase and tighten the track
deflection.

GR-75 into the fitting (3)
until deflection is correct.
2. In a straight path, the machine backward the length
of the track, and then forward the length of the track.
This will make the bottom of the track tight. Bring the
machine slowly to a stop. Do not use the brakes to
stop.
3. Check the deflection of the track again and adjust, if
necessary.
4. Repeat the procedure for the other track.

Decrease the track tension
WARNING

Always wear eye or full face protection when performing this procedure.
Failure to comply could result in death or serious injury.

Decrease the track tension with an adjustment to the
ball check fitting.
The grease is UNDER EXTREME PRESSURE. Be
careful to back the ball check adjustment off SLOWLY.
Wear full coverage face protection before proceeding.
1. Use a 3/4 in deep socket, and loosen the ball check
fitting SLOWLY about two turns. DO NOT remove the
adapter. Allow the grease to evacuate until the track
deflection is within the proper range.
2. When complete, re-torque the ball check to 59.7 -
74.6 N·m ( 44 - 55 lb ft ).
3. Move the machine backward the length of the track,
and then forward the length of the track. This will make
the bottom of the track tight. Bring the machine slowly
to a stop. Do not use the brakes to stop.
4. Recheck the track tension.
5. Repeat the procedure for the other track.
