Use Timeline and View Events
This chapter shows you how to use the Timeline for live and recorded viewing as well as
view and search events.
Timeline Overview
On the Viewing Screen, a timeline of past events associated with displayed cameras is
shown in the Timeline Area at the bottom of the Viewer as colored bars. Selecting a
colored bar moves the playhead to the event and the associated Video Window is switched
to playback mode.
Zoom in or out of
the Timeline to see
events in more or
less detail.
Events for non-selected cameras
(Video Windows) in the Viewing Area
are called “secondary event.” They
are displayed in weaker colors than
primary events.
Click in this area of
the Playhead shaft
and drag to positions
on the Timeline.
Previous Event.
Rewind.
Nudge Back.
Play/Pause.
Nudge Forward.
Fast Forward.
Next Event.
Playback controls
Playback controls.
Buttons for playback,
rewind, etc.
Camera Server name
The name of the
camera currently
selected.
Playhead region
Scroll forward by hours,
by days or by weeks.
You can save the
current image on a
Video Window in a
file.
A manual recording
with duration of one
minute is initiated.
Darker areas indicate
recorded video for this
period.
