Cleaning the print head (cont.)

5 Print another nozzle check pattern to check the 

results of the print head cleaning.

6 If the nozzle check pattern is not crisp and clear, 

check the ink tanks. If one or more of the ink tanks are 
low, the BJ Status Monitor will display an ink low 
warning. If no message is displayed, open the front 
cover and check the levels of the ink tanks visually.

• If ink is low, replace the empty ink tank(s).

• If ink is not low, clean the print head and print 

nozzle check patterns up to 5 times. If the results of 
the nozzle check pattern are still unsatisfactory, 
deep clean the print head.
