Test Results Possible Solutions
The length test If the remote unit is connected during the length test, the

cable is longer If Wire Map shows all pairs are OPEN or SHORT, the SCAN-
LAN Vt cannot detect the remote unit. Thus, all pairs
are OPEN or SHORT within 5 ft. of the SCAN-LAN VI.
If Wire Map results report that all wires are straight-through,
re-run the Length test.
Measured lengths Some variation (plus or minus a few percent) is normal because
of wire pairs in the of the way wire pairs are twisted together in a UTP cable.
