CHAPTER 13: Talk and Test Modules for the SCAN-LAN VI

• Press LOSS (F2). The Loss screen displays the power lost in dBm at both

wavelengths for both cables, due to attenuation in the cables under test.

• From the Loss screen, press MARGIN (F2).

The Margin screen displays the amount of headroom between the allowable loss
in the selected cable standard and the measured loss in the cables under test.

The margins for both wavelengths (where appropriate) for both cables is
displayed.

NOTE

All failing test results will be displayed in reverse video.
