Syringe Maintenance Position
Gen5 provides access to special syringe setup functions for maintenance and
calibration purposes. If a syringe needs to be installed or replaced, it must first be
moved to its “Maintenance Position.” To do this using Gen5:
1.
Select
System > Instrument Control > Synergy HTX
and click the
Prime
tab.
2.
Select the appropriate Dispenser number (1 or 2) associated with the
syringe.
3.
Click
Maintenance.
The syringe plunger will move to its furthest-from-
home position. The syringe can then be disconnected from the drive bracket
and unscrewed from the valve.


Important!
Do not change the syringe positions or
calibrate the dispensers unless instructed to do so as part
of installation, upgrade, or maintenance.
