6.4 Program Preset QC Mean and Range
Use this procedure to verify and change the QC mean, standard deviation, and
range. For detailed information on QC parameters, refer to 4.6.2 QC Specific
Menu in the AU5800 User's Guide, chapter 4.

Select the test name from the "Test Name" drop-down list.

Select the QC name from the "Control" drop-down list.

Use the QC package insert or known values to enter the Mean,
SD, and Range. QC is determined to be in or out of these preset
ranges when QC Mode is set to “Preset” (on the
Check
tab.).

Enter the QC mean at

Enter a 1 SD value at
SD
. To calculate the SD from the
Range listed on the QC package insert, divide the Range
listed by 4. Example: The Range on the QC package insert
is 25-35. Enter “2.5” for SD (35-25 = 10,
10/4 = 2.5).

Enter the value of the range at
Range
. This is usually a 4 SD
value (2 SD above and 2 SD below the mean). The Range is
the high value minus the low value.
