5.19 Exact following harrow
The exact following harrow (Fig. 93/1) evenly
covers the seeds deposited in the seed furrows
with loose earth and smoothes the ground.

The exact following harrow pressure determines
the tillage intensity of the exact following harrow
and depends on the soil texture.
Before driving in reverse, always life the seed
drill and pay attention to obstacles. Stop immedi-
ately if there is a collision while driving in re-
verse. If a slight collision occurs, the exact fol-
lowing harrow tines deflect upwards from the
obstacle without being damaged, see Fig. 94.
When driving forwards, the exact following har-
row tines return to working position.
