5.12.1.3 Bottom flaps
The gap between the metering wheel (Fig. 55/1)
and the bottom flap (Fig. 55/2) depends on the
size of the seed.
The bottom flap shaft (Fig. 55/3) is used to adjust
the gap.
The bottom flaps are spring suspended for gentle
metering of the seed.

The bottom flap lever (Fig. 56/1) adjusts the bot-
tom flap shaft.
The bottom flap lever can lock into one of 8 posi-
tions into a group of holes (Fig. 56/2). The bot-
tom flap lever is triggered when the knob is
pressed.

on the seed, can be found in the "Setting val-
ues" table, page 68.
To empty the seed housing, swing the bottom
flap lever (Fig. 57/1) clockwise beyond the group
of holes (Fig. 57/2) to the stop, see section
"Emptying the seed hopper and seed housing",
page 185.
