12.5.2.5 Conversion of a metering wheel to a tramline metering wheel
Each tramline metering wheel (Fig. 264/1) is
connected to the seeding shaft with a gear wheel
(Fig. 264/2). The gear wheel (Fig. 264/2) is driv-
en by a gear wheel (Fig. 264/3) on the lay shaft.
This section describes the conversion of a me-
tering wheel to a tramline metering wheel.

1. Fold down the lay shaft
see section 12.5.2.1, page 207.
2. Loosen the hexagon socket screw (Fig.
265/1) until the future tramline metering
wheel can rotate freely on the seeding
shaft.

If the Allen screw (Fig. 265/1) is
screwed out too far, the seed hous-
ing can be damaged.
3. Install a gear wheel (Fig. 266/1) on the
seeding shaft and couple with the tramline
metering wheel, see also Fig. 267.
4. Loosen the hexagon socket screw (Fig.
266/2) of the gear wheel until the future
tramline metering wheel can rotate freely on
the seeding shaft.
