Installing the seeding shaft
11. The seeding shaft is installed in the reverse
sequence.
12. Check that the hexagon socket screws (Fig.
286/1) of the metering wheels is properly
seated.
Important:
The hexagon socket screws (Fig. 286/1) of
the metering wheels have a slight circum-
ferential backlash in the seeding shaft
groove.
Install the tramline metering wheels
according to the section "Adjusting the
tramline control", page 205. The tramline
metering wheels can rotate freely on the
seeding shaft.

Check the hexagon socket screws for proper seating on the metering
wheels and gear wheels (see Table Fig. 255), to prevent damage
caused by simultaneous driving of the seeding shaft and lay shaft.
