12.5 Installations
12.5.1 Shutdown of the implement over a long period of time
Before parking the implement for a longer period of time


Thoroughly clean and dry the coulters. To prevent rust, protect the coulters with an environmen-
tally friendly anti-corrosion agent.

Set the coulter pressure to "0", see section "Coulter pressure", page 156.

Lock the bottom flap lever (Fig. 252/1) in
hole 8 if the implement will be parked for a
longer period.
If the bottom flaps are left shut, there is the
risk of mice trying to get into the seed hop-
per because it still smells like grain even
when the seed hopper is empty. If the bot-
tom flaps are closed, the animals may try to
nibble at the bottom flaps.
