5.11.1.1 Extending the range of the Vario gearbox
Extending the Vario gearbox adjustment range for low seed rates
When the gearbox setting lever points to a scale value lower than 10 with fine seeds, remove the drive
chain from the chain wheel Z= 34 (34 cogs).
Put the drive chain on the chain wheel Z=16 (16 cogs). The same seed rate can then be applied with a
considerably higher scale value.
The assembly work can be found in the section "Extending the range of the Vario gearbox", page 226.
The table (Fig. 49) in the control centre shows
the installation position of the drive chain.
Z16: The chain wheel (16 cogs) drives the
drive chain
Z34: The chain wheel (34 cogs) drives the
drive chain.

When the gearbox setting lever constantly points to a scale value higher than 80 with coarse seeds,
remove the drive chain from the chain wheel Z= 34 (34 cogs).
Replace the double chain wheel Z16/34 with double chain wheel Z16/50. If necessary, you can order
the double chain wheel Z16/50 through spare parts.
Put the drive chain on the chain wheel Z=50 (50 cogs). The same seed rate can then be applied with a
considerably lower scale value.

5.11.2 Seeding shaft drive, electrically regulated
Seed drills that have an electric motor (Fig. 50/1)
for driving the seeding shaft are equipped with

the ISOBUS system
