12.5.2.6 Conversion of a tramline metering wheel to a metering wheel
The gear wheels on the lay shaft drive the gear wheels of the tramline metering wheels.
If a tramline metering wheel should be converted to a metering wheel, the gear wheel pairing on the
lay shaft and on the seeding shaft are removed.
If the tramline metering wheel should only be converted for a short time, to be used again as a tram-
line metering wheel on the next field, the gear wheel on the lay shaft is simply shifted until it is no
longer meshed with the gear wheel on the seeding shaft.
12.5.2.7 Conversion of a tramline metering wheel to a metering wheel
by shifting the gear wheel on the lay shaft
1. Loosen the hexagon socket screw (Fig.
270/2) of the gear wheel on the lay shaft.
Shift the gear wheel (Fig. 270/1) on the lay
shaft until the gear wheel pairings no longer
touch.
2. Tighten the hexagon socket screw (Fig.
270/2) in the groove of the lay shaft without
tension, until axial shifting of the gear wheel
is ruled out.

3. Screw the hexagon socket screw (Fig.
271/2) into the seeding shaft groove and
then loosen by ½°rotation, so that the gear
wheel (Fig. 271/1) can move on the seeding
shaft with a slight twist angle.
4. Check whether the metering wheel is
picked up by the seeding shaft.
