Thermocouple
Thermocouple Wait
Function:
Provides thermocouple feedback for a temperature based process. It is mainly used for
process control preheating of the board from the bottom heater. It can be used to provide thermal feed-
back to create the thermal portion of removal or replacement programs.
Action:
With the bottom preheater on, the designated (wait TC) thermocouple (channel) monitors top-
side board temperature. When the target temperature (temperature) is reached (direction), the process
is complete.
Task Properties:
Channel:
Indicates the thermocouple channel(s) used, which is typically the IR Sensor.
Function:
Wait TC sets the mode for one thermocouple usage.
Temperature (ºC):
Sets the target temperature for the thermocouple to be reached.
Direction:
Sets the direction for the target temperature to be reached. Increase mode is used for
heating applications. Decrease mode is used for cooling applications.
In-Position Delay (sec):
Sets the time the function is in use. Normally not used as this is a tempera-
ture based event, but is used if a time limit needs to set. If target temperature is not reached and time
has expired, program will continue to next step at the set time. If target temperature is the goal set time
to 600 seconds.
Note:
If target temperature cannot be reached in maximum in-position delay setting, 600 seconds, two
events must be created and target temperatures set to reachable goals within 600 seconds.
