Site Clean Motion
Non Contact – Vacuum Sensor Control
Function:
Sets site cleaning tool tip height in reference to pads of the site on the board.
Action:
The site cleaning nozzle moves up (sensor approach height). The site cleaning vacuum sensor
is activated. The nozzle moves down above the site (approach height) where the initial site heating is
applied (from process heating task option). The event time or initial heating delay can be used to control
the time. The nozzle touches the board and moves up a set distance (depart height). The site cleaning
tip distance to the board adjusts according to the vacuum sensor initialize reading (vacuum motion)
(vacuum control). The higher the setting the higher the tip is positioned above the solder pads.
Task Properties:
Sensor Approach Height (mm):
Positions the nozzle above the board to internally calibrate vacuum
sensor range of the site cleaning nozzle. Note: Sufficient air passage is critical.
Approach Height (mm):
Sets initial distance of nozzle relative to board prior to process/heating.
Initial Heating Delay:
Time nozzle heating is applied at the sensor approach height prior to x/y operator
movement of the site cleaning tip. Note: It is important that the residue solder be molten prior to vacuum
control being applied.
Place Velocity (%):
Speed of nozzle tip moving down to board.
Place Target (gram):
Force touch of tip to board.
Safety Target (gram):
Force backup to vacuum sensor control of tip height.
Depart Height (mm):
Sets distance of the nozzle after the initial heating delay and prior to activation of
vacuum height adjustment.
Vacuum Control (%):
Sets the distance of nozzle tip to the board during the process, the larger the
number the higher the distance. The vacuum control is used throughout the operator movement of the
tip across the site. The nozzle will adjust (move up/down) as per the site cleaning vacuum sensor and
vacuum control setting.
