Dip Station Motion
Vision Feeder
Function:
Allows component leads/balls to be dipped into flux or solder.
Action:
A message is presented to the operator to load the dip station (optional)(operator load feeder
tray). The vision system moves the dip station under the nozzle. The nozzle moves above the dip sta-
tion (approach height). Nozzle moves component into undercut or dip station where flux or solder is
applied (based on the dip station tool height). Nozzle/component moves away from dip station (depart
height).
Task Properties:
Dip Station Tool Height (mm):
Sets height of dip station tool. NOTE: The dip station-vision feeder
motion is based on the nozzle height, component thickness and feeder tool thickness. Incorrect informa-
tion can result in damage to the machine and/or component. NOTE: Measure the z-height of the Dip Tray
(approx. 6.25mm) and subtract 1.0mm to obtain compression.
Approach Height (mm):
Sets the initial distance of the component relative to dip station tool.
Operator Load Feeder Tray:
Activates message on run screen for operator to load the load feeder
tray.
Place Velocity:
Dip entry speed.
Depart Velocity:
Dip exit speed.
Depart Delay:
Time delay in dip station.
Depart Height (mm):
The distance the nozzle moves from the dip station tool height (mm) after dipping
process.
