Introduction/Overview

1.0

General Description

The DRS27 is a SMT Rework and Repair machine. It is designed to remove and replace surface mounted

and through-hole devices on printed circuit boards. This involves heating of the PCB using a radiant

panel type preheater located under the PCB and a hot gas heater / delivery system mounted over the

component to be reworked to provide heat to the component solder joints. A motorized Z (vertical) axis

and vision deployment system aid in reducing operator required activity and providing a level of process

control through partial automation.
