Place Motion
Object Placement – Board Carrier
Function: Places component to the site.
Action: Component moves above site (approach height). The nozzle moves the component down
(place velocity) to the board until the (place target) force is reached. The nozzle vacuum is turned off
(vacuum off delay). Optional air pressure is normally applied to insure component does not stick to noz-
zle o-ring (use blow-off air) for programmed time (blow-off air delay). The nozzle moves from the board
(depart height)(depart velocity).
Task Properties:
Approach Height (mm): Sets the initial distance of the component relative to the board.
Place Target (gram): Sets force of the component against the board to be reached prior to nozzle
vacuum being turned off.
Place Velocity (%): Speed nozzle moves component to board.
Vacuum Off Delay (sec): Time the nozzle vacuum is off after place target (gram) is reached.
Use Blow-Off Air: Activates air pressure through nozzle vacuum o-ring/vacuum cup before nozzle
retracts. Uses blow-off air delay before depart (sec) time setting.
Blow-Off Air Delay (sec): Time air use blow-off air system is activated.
Depart Height (mm): Distance nozzle moves up after component is placed on board.
Depart Velocity (%): Speed the nozzle moves away from component after component is placed on
board.
