1 Identification
The iROB
®
501 PRO robot welding system is used for automated MIG/MAG welding and comprises the
following modules.
— iROB
®
501 welding power source
— Controller KINETIC wire feed control unit
— Pull Feeder KINETIC with iCAT mini robot mount
— Push Feeder KINETIC
— Wire Buffer KINETIC
If the welding power source is equipped with the optional iCOOL 1200 cooling unit, separate operating
instructions are included for this module.
The Controller KINETIC wire feed control unit is permanently integrated into the iROB
®
501 welding power
source and enables the mX Kinetic welding procedure by balancing the Push Feeder KINETIC and Pull
Feeder KINETIC modules. The Pull Feeder KINETIC and Push Feeder KINETIC modules are used for
the automatic feeding of welding filler material. The Wire Buffer KINETIC is used as a signal generator for
the Controller KINETIC wire feed control unit to enable a balanced wire feed.
The device may be operated only with original spare parts. These operating instructions describe the

®
501 PRO robot welding system only.

This product fulfills the requirements that apply to the market to which it has been introduced.
A corresponding marking has been affixed to the product, if required.
