7 Operation
7.1 Feeding in the welding wire
► Ensure that the coaxial cable and all wire feed and pressure rolls are suitably attached for the wire
material and wire diameter.
For information about optional wire guides, e.g. for aluminum wire materials, please see the catalog.
WARNING
Electric shock due to contact with live components
Parts inside the device and on the Wire Buffer KINETIC may be live during operation. Touching live
components can lead to fatal electric shocks or burns.
► Always keep the covers closed and only open them when the power supply has been interrupted.
► During the welding process, do not touch the metal components indicated on the figure.

NOTICE
Material damage due to exceeding the maximum duty cycle
If the device is operated for longer than the maximum duty cycle, it may be overloaded and
irreparably damaged.
► Only operate the device up to the maximum permissible duty cycle.

Set the main switch to <I>.
The mains control LED lights up.
<HELLO> appears on both digital displays.
WARNING
Risk of injury from pointed welding wire
If the pointed welding wire is pushed out of the wire feed, severe puncture injuries may result.
► Do not look directly into the opening of the guide adapter to check the wire feed.
► When inserting the welding wire, keep your face and eyes at a safe distance from the wire guide.
