13.3 Processing time for communication data
If an external device changes a single function via the I/O data, it takes approximately 20 ms for the change
to be registered by the welding power source after the data has been received by the welding power source.
If changes are made to two or more functions, it takes a maximum of approximately 50 ms for all changes
to be registered. (*1, *2)
When the welding power source sends I/O data, the status of the welding power source approximately
20 ms before the send time is used in the data (communication cycle waiting time (*3) (*1)).
*1 The delay may be longer at times depending on the CPU load conditions of the welding power source.
*2 When a hardware function is performed in the welding start mode and gas discharge mode, etc., an
additional delay occurs because of the time until the hardware starts the operation.
*3 For example, when the communication interval of I/O data is set to 10 ms, the communication cycle
waiting time is 0 to 10 ms.
