V6100 and V7122 User Guide
To remove the TP-1610 RTM from the chassis:
1
Remove the cables attached to the RTM.

Unfasten the screws on the brackets at both ends of the panel that secure the RTM to
the chassis.

Press the red ejector buttons on the two black ejector/injector latches on both ends.

Grasp the panel and ease the RTM board out of the slot.
Cabling the TP-1610
To cable the TP-1610:

Connect the E1/T1 trunk interfaces (see
Connecting the E1/T1 Trunk Interfaces
).

Install the Ethernet connection (see
Installing the Ethernet Connection
).

Optionally, connect the TP-1610 RS-232 port to your PC (see
Connecting the RS-232
Port to Your PC
).
Installing the V6100
To install your V6100:

Unpack the V6100 (see
Unpacking
).

Check the package contents (see

).

Mount the V6100 (see
Mounting the V6100
).

Cable the V6100 (see
Cabling the V6100
).
After connecting the V6100 to the power source, the power LED on the front panel of the
power supply unit is lit green (after a self-testing period of about 2 minutes). Any power
supply malfunction results in the LED switching off (see
Table 12
for details on the V6100
LEDs).
When you have completed the above relevant sections you are then ready to start
configuring the gateway (See

Chapter 4: Getting Started
).
Unpacking
To unpack the V6100:
1
Open the carton and remove packing materials.

Remove the V6100 from the carton.
3
Check that there is no equipment damage.
