displayed.
If DNS is set to OFF, check the network cable connection and power cycle the
TA720.

Explanation
To use the Ethernet communication functions of the TA720, the following settings are
required.
Setting the IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, DHCP, and DNS
Consult your system or network administrator in setting these parameters.
• DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol)
If DHCP is enabled, the following items are automatically configured.
IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, and DNS settings
To use DHCP, the network must have a DHCP server.
Consult your network administrator to see if DHCP can be used.
If DHCP is used, a different IP address may be assigned to the TA720 each time the
power is turned ON. Therefore, you must be careful when using the FTP server
function of the TA720.
• IP Address (Internet Protocol Address)
Set the IP address to assign to the TA720. The default setting is [0.0.0.0].
The IP address is used to uniquely identify a device on the Internet when using TCP/
IP. The address is a 32-bit value expressed in four octets (each 0 to 255), each
separated by a period as in [192.168.111.24]. A unique ID must be acquired from the
network administrator.
If DHCP can be used, the IP address is automatically assigned.
